jTribe has released FirePin4. A completely redesigned iOS 4.x app that is based on our classic – and first – iPhone app called “FirePin”.
The 4 in FirePin4 stands for the iOS 4 feature to run apps in the background. This is the great new feature of FirePin4. You start it up and put it in the background where it will happily record your trip locations and make the available in realtime to friends and family (if you decided to share the trip).
True to the original FirePin idea the app is very simple and does not offer more than what is required to track your trip and share it. We kept sharing via Email and have added Facebook sharing.
You can manage your trips on firepin.com where all the trip data gets gathered for you and kept safely for later reference. And no login is required. Just start up the app and you automatically have a secure account on firepin.com – it’s magic 
This app is not a commercial app. It is free. We integrated Apple iAd to help us keeping the service free.
