iOS/iPhone Developer Training | Melbourne | Sydney

Do you want to develop your own iPhone app? jTribe are hosting entry level iPhone/iOS development training courses, which will provide you with the skills required to develop your own iPhone App
If you love your apps and have some previous programming experience in another field (i.e. Java or C++) then, come along! The training will be useful if you have some experience in Objective-C, but need a better overall understanding in order to create a good iPhone App. We have anyone from freelance developers to corporate employees attending our trainings.

Training includes

  • teaching you the essentials about Objective-C (the iPhone Programming Language)
  • an extensive tour of the tools of the trade (namely XCode and Interface Builder)
  • making sure you get plenty of practice with the iPhone’s SDK: We’ll show you how to pick the right view and controller type for the task at hand and how to create those beautiful custom table cells – which we then put to good use in your mini Twitter client!

Refreshments: Coffee, refreshments and a light lunch (sandwiches).
Takeaways: All the training materials and sample code used will be available for participants to access.
Connectivity: There is full access to wireless at no cost.

Trainer | Armin Kroll

jTribe’s co-founder Armin Kroll will be hosting the training courses and has been developing apps since the platform was released in 2008. With both a mix of his own creations, alongside delivering apps for clients, he has collected a wealth of experience and expertise on the platform and is excited to share it with interested developers. Armin also guest lectures on iOS at Melbourne Universities from time to time. The trainings have been running for a while now and we’ve had some pretty positive feedback:

“I just wanted to say thanks so much for the course! I thoroughly enjoyed it and learnt a lot from your teaching style… the information you gave me was invaluable!”

“I found I was given a very good grounding in objective-c and general iPhone development/workflow. I feel confident in my abilities now, and it’s given me the springboard I was looking for so I can further explore iPhone development and develop applications without having to struggle with learning the environment as much.”

“We are so happy with the fantastic course that you gave us and I personally consider it as one of the best courses that I have taken.
It was not too basic neither too hard; looking forward to another course in the future!”

“Hi Armin, I just wanted to thank you for the training a few weeks ago in Sydney. I got a lot out of the 3 day session…”
