References
Since it was spun off from its parent company in 2005 to focus completely on software development services, jTribe has successfully delivered a number of high profile projects across a range of industry and government organisations.
MojoMonitoring
MojoMonitoring is a real-time customer experience monitoring service for transactional online applications.
Mojo typically monitors services such as Internet Banking, online brokerage and Internet Booking sites, where
an end user that cannot use the online service translates directly into lost revenues for the operator.
MojoMonitoring is collecting vast amounts of data around the clock, and when tasked with redeveloping
the MojoMonitoring web portal jTribe chose the Ruby on Rails framework to deliver a high-performing,
user-friendly solution.
With MojoMonitoring jTribe also incorporated user friendly Ajax technology based on the ExtJs framework which complemented Ruby on Rails on the server side extremely well.
State Government of Victoria
Heritage Victoria is the Victorian State Government's principal cultural heritage agency and it is part of the Department of Sustainability and Environment.
The organisation maintains a large database of Heritage related places, items and shipwrecks and tasked jTribe with the development of an application for
Heritage Victoria that exposes this very rich data to the public via a Web 2.0 application dubbed HVD.
The HVD project underlined jTribe's capacity to deliver a fresh & nimble user experience while adhering to a range of standards required for the development of governmental websites. It also demonstrated the ability of agile projects to stay well within the confinements of a strict budget.
MojoKnows
MojoKnows is a mobile information service aimed at visitors to Australia. The service provides a range of telecommunications and information services
to its customers who interact mainly via text message with it. jTribe was tasked with a complete redevelopment of the MojoKnows website. The original
web application was J2EE based and jTribe added a range of new features to the site, while migrating the existing codebase to Ruby on Rails in only 4 weeks.
MojoKnows is also a reference project for jTribe as it displays its localisation abilities. The service targets the german speaking tourism market and as such the web application had to be localised for german, with other languages planned already.
my.place
Think about the cricket games you experienced with a parent at the MCG when you were younger, the house you grew up in and the first place you moved into when you left home,
where you had your first kiss or the garage you started your company in all those years ago.
Whether it is a life changing experience, a strong bond that was built over many years, or just a day of pure, unadulterated fun -
we all have some very special experiences which have added colour and spice to our lives,
and the places that we had them forever connect us with those locations.
my.place.is gives you the possibility to tell the world this very special story about your connection to a place.
my.place is built and poised to be launched soon. Keep checking our blog for details.
Turn My Page
We here at jTribe are big believers in eBooks. While the paper version still has it's place, we buy most of our techincal books digitally.
Turn My Page is an idea that enhances the eBook experience and brings to it the things missing from the paper version.
We can't say much more than that right now but we will be talking about it more and more on our blog shortly.
Turn My Page is currently under construction and will be looking for beta testers in the coming months. Keep checking our blog for details.
